We’re pleased to have you join us and our community, as we intend to provide you holistic coaching, resourcing, support, connection, health, wellness learning and experiences. HAND in HAND Thriving℠ (“HAND in HAND”) will train and empower you, your partner, family, team and organization to accomplish your desired outcomes, enjoy positive relationships, teamwork, partnerships, attain more of the life you dream of while being a great resource and inspiration to everyone around you. The text below is intended to clarify some of the terms and conditions that all clients accept when engaging HAND in HAND in any way, including but not limited to the HAND in HAND free 30 minutes initial consultation and custom designed HAND in HAND Surviving to Thriving Solution℠ presented by HAND in HAND, also known as “HAND in HAND Thriving Solutions℠”, “Surviving to Thriving Solutions℠” and the like (collectively, the “Solution”). In order to move forward and join, you must agree to the terms below regarding scheduling and/or registering for any interactions with HAND in HAND, from your initial consultation through any ongoing engagements of any duration. These terms may be unilaterally changed by HAND in HAND from time to time, and you should check for updates. 30 Day Money-Back Guarantee

Your custom designed Solution is covered by HAND in HAND’s unconditional, HANDs Down Happy℠ refund guarantee (the “Refund Guarantee”) for thirty (30) days from your date of purchase for any unused portions of your Solution, engagements and programs already paid for. If you would like your refund for any reason, you must email info@handinhandthriving.com within 30 days of your purchase date to receive your Refund Guarantee. Under no circumstances will refunds be granted after 30 days following the date of purchase nor after service has already been provided. If you schedule, attend or participate in any Solution during the 30-day period, you cannot later request a refund. 

Given the Solution, strategies, models and content represent a lifetime of development and are the core of our business, HAND in HAND retains all intellectual property rights to the Solution, strategies, models and materials. While we permit you to use and share what you learn from your custom-designed Solution, HAND in HAND retains all ownership rights to all our concepts, technologies and intellectual property for all other uses. Any use of HAND in HAND materials in presentations, webinars, brochures, articles, corporate settings, public forums, and/or for anything else without at least thirty (30) days written consent by HAND in HAND.

Client Participation

All client participation in any HAND in HAND sessions, programs, training events, consultations, and tele-classes may be used by HAND in HAND for educational or other purposes, and all student contributions and correspondence to HAND in HAND whether written, spoken, photographed, filmed, videoed or emailed, becomes the property of HAND in HAND. HAND in HAND may edit, reproduce, or distribute part or all of any conversations, interventions, feedback, or emails at the sole discretion of HAND in HAND. By purchasing anything from HAND in HAND, you agree that we can photograph, video, or audio record your voice and image(s), which recordings are owned by HAND in HAND and can be used anywhere, anytime, and for any purpose. TO OPT OUT OF THIS (THAT IS, IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE RECORDED), YOU MUST NOT “APPEAR” DURING THE PROGRAMMING (E.G., BY ACTIVATING VOICE, IF BY PHONE, OR BY TURNING ON YOUR VIDEO, IF BY VIDEO) AND YOU ASSUME ANY EFFECTS OF THIS DECISION ON YOUR EXPERIENCE. 

By purchasing anything from HAND in HAND, you take full responsibility for having a computer, adequate internet connection, and a telephone, and for dedicating any additional resources for starting and completing your sessions, programs, trainings – including time in your schedule and any energy or effort needed to review and study any required materials. HAND in HAND is not liable for your inability or failure to access or use the Solution as a result of defects not resulting from HAND in HAND’s negligence, and such inability or failure to access will not be the basis for refunding your payments submitted after the Refund Guarantee period has expired. 

Bonuses

We may offer bonuses at our sole discretion. Any shippable bonuses, such as DVDs, will be sent after the Refund Guarantee period has completed. These bonuses are intended as a supplement to what you learn in session, program, training, which may be live, online, and/or phone-based. Bonuses are not to be relied on as a substitute for materials covered in session, program, or training. Note that some countries charge customs fees and/or additional taxes for goods delivered by mail, which fees are your responsibility. In addition, where bonuses are intangible (e.g. websites), we have the discretion to offer or rescind them at any time for any reason. 

Accounts

Accounts and online classrooms are assigned on an individual basis. The tele-sessions/classes are strictly and only for the registered client, and access to HAND in HAND content by more than one individual is a direct violation of HAND in HAND’s terms and conditions. Revealing any login or tele-class registration information to other individuals for their unauthorized use may result in termination, suspension or revocation of client and/or member status and any license to use and access HAND in HAND content. Any unauthorized access may also constitute copyright violations, and HAND in HAND reserves the right to defend and enforce its copyright to the fullest extent of the law. 

Earnings Disclaimer

Solutions are intended to help you build more of what you want into your life, relationships, and career, and may include information on a wide variety of subject areas. HAND in HAND does not make any guarantees about your ability to get results, including health, spiritual, relational, financial, or the like, with HAND in HAND ideas, information, tools or strategies. The success of any client depends on innumerable factors outside of HAND in HAND control. Any and all information you receive from HAND in HAND in any manner or medium under any context is for educational and informational purposes only. Making decisions based on any information presented should be done only with the knowledge that you may experience significant losses.   Check with your accountant, lawyer or professional advisor, before acting on any HAND in HAND information.  

BY REGISTERING WITH HAND IN HAND, YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HAND IN HAND HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ALL CLAIMS, INJURIES, SUITS AND DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE HAND IN HAND SERVICES.   

YOU HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, AND DISCHARGE HAND IN HAND, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OF NEGLIGENCE, ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION OR USE OF THE HAND IN HAND SERVICES, AND YOU FURTHER AGREE NOT TO SUE HAND IN HAND FOR ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGES SUSTAINED, EVEN IF CAUSED BY THEIR NEGLIGENCE, AND YOU UNDERSTAND THIS WAIVER INCLUDES CLAIMS THAT YOU MAY NOT CURRENTLY KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST. 

If any provision of this Terms of Service is rendered invalid under law, the remainder of this Terms of Service shall not be affected thereby. 

Legal Access

Members who submit payment or access our site or information by any means represent and warrant to us that they are legally an adult (or otherwise of legal age) or, if not legally an adult or otherwise of legal age, may present the express, written consent of a parent or legal guardian at any time. Those accessing the site, assume all responsibility for complying with laws, rules and regulations specific to their location. 

Non-Professional Advice

The information and services provided by HAND in HAND are intended for educational and informational purposes only and is in no way to be interpreted as professional advice. For direction on matters of counseling, legal, mental health and medical advice, seek out a registered professional. You acknowledge that HAND in HAND and our information is not professional advice, and you agree that HAND in HAND does not teach or authorize students or graduates to practice any professional disciplines of any kind, whether or not they require state, national, or international licensure, including and without limitation to legal, medical, mental health services, psychotherapy, counseling, therapeutic, or marriage and family therapy. You also agree not to rely on or present to any person any of our information as an alternative to such professional advice. 

Forums and Facebook Groups

The site may contain internal means of communication between community members and students may be included in a private Facebook group. We expect all clients to use discretion to keep information confidential, and you agree to do just that. Any and all content contained within these communications is the responsibility of users. HAND in HAND is not responsible for the release of communications on third-party community groups as a result of the negligence or fault of the group’s members. HAND in HAND and its affiliates assume no responsibility for content posted or accessed beyond state and federal legal requirements in California, USA. If a client is found to be posting in such a way that does not honor the community guidelines they may be removed immediately from a forum or private Facebook group, or your entire private Facebook group may be shut down. 

Refusal of Service/Membership Revocation

Solutions are built on the premise that all clients, community members and participants will be civil and respectful to all others within the community. Inappropriate conduct, including but not limited to, harassment, sexual or explicit comments, aggressive behavior, intent to embarrass, humiliate, threaten, or harass others, staff, administrators, or other intentional mistreatment of others or staff will result in suspension, or cancellation of all Solutions and engagements altogether. HAND in HAND reserves the right to refuse services of all kinds to any clients for any reason, at any time, let alone those who violate these community standards. (Please rest assured that all this is VERY rare and only takes place after multiple communications fail to bring peace.) Suspension may be a result while under investigation. 

If you would like to report another user for abuse of this policy, please submit an email to info@handinhandthriving.com explaining the situation and we will conduct an investigation into the matter. 

Health of Participant(s)

Private, public, group, offline, recorded and live events may require long days, rigorous education, loud environments, self-direction, healthy and emotionally stable interpersonal interactions, and require extended periods of focus and attention. Being in good health may be important to participate well and realize the full potential of such solutions and experiences. Please consult your physician before beginning any extended period of activity or attending any online or live event.  

By signing up, you represent that your health and mental wellness will not interfere with your HAND in HAND programs or live events. We are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and if you require an accommodation, please reach out to us. Please also see the “Non-Professional Advice” section above. 

Complaints Procedure

You agree to direct any and all compliments, questions, concerns, complaints, criticisms, disputes about HAND in HAND sessions, programs, training, products, or services to info@handinhandthriving.com. Having set up this communication channel to accommodate you, we reserve the right not to respond to any other communication channel.

Marc's Background

Marc was born and raised in Chicago, IL with a multi-generational, family business background and work ethic. Founded by his immigrant Grandfather, Marc’s Dad also followed in the family tradition and spent a 60+ year successful career running the family business. With Marc’s Grandfather and Dad at the helm, their family business successfully supported five generations, while intentionally using their business to help and support other immigrant and marginalized families to successfully manage their daily needs, start their own businesses, create their dream lives, for over 80 years

With entrepreneurship in his blood, Marc launched his first two entrepreneurial experiences at ages 10 – 12 years old, which led Marc to also request joining the family business at age 13 where Marc told his Dad, “I want to come and work with you”

This was Marc’s first life “watch what you wish for” learning moment, when his Dad chuckled and enthusiastically said, “Sure honey! I’ll pick you up at 5:45am on Monday morning. Be ready and outside waiting for me.”

This was the beginning of an incredible, unexpected life and career journey that neither Marc, nor his family ever could’ve imagined

After learning all aspects, operations, roles, how to develop relationships with and the varying needs of diverse people, backgrounds and personalities, step by step, Marc earned his way from the ground up within his family business over eight years

Unknowingly, Marc created what he still refers to as his “recipe for success”, which he’s employed throughout every aspect of his his personal life, relationships and career

After graduating from The University of Illinois, Urbana – Champaign, with an Economics & Business Administration degree, Marc decided to pursue his own, independent career outside of the family business to “see what he could create for himself”

At only twenty two years old, Marc was quickly put in charge of creating & managing his company’s Fortune 500 partnerships for a national Industrial Compliance Solutions firm

Once Marc achieved many goals there, he decided to fulfill his next life dream of moving to San Francisco, CA. Without a job, nor a place to live, Marc packed up his car and with a friend’s driving help, a great big smile, excitement in his heart and the Grateful Dead playing on his stereo, Marc headed West.
San Francisco or bust!

Within one month of Marc’s arrival in San Francisco and over the next 18 years, Marc propelled himself forward into positive career experiences in the Environmental Printing, Fashion & Apparel, Technology, Luxury Custom Retail, Entrepreneurship, Transportation and Non-Profit industries, where he again held leadership roles in Strategy, Development, Partnerships and goal achievement responsibilities

In total, Marc has been a key contributor in creating hundreds of millions of dollars of organizational and life transformations for individuals, couples, families, teams and owners of small, private businesses – Global Fortune 500 companies on their personal, business and life goal achievement

As you can see, Marc’s been fortunate to enjoy a wide array of life and career experiences, which enables him to consistently create mutually beneficial, positive, trusting, lasting life, family and career relationships across diverse individuals, families and personality types

Then, by formalizing his education and professional accreditations in modern brain science, relationship psychology, numerous coaching, trauma survival, holistic health, wellness, healing and longevity modalities, Marc continues his consistent life and career resilience, transformation and what enables him to continually be a key contributor, leader, inspiration and as described by his coaches and managers, “Marc is the glue that holds our team together”

Our Founder Marc & his Survival Story

At the peak of Marc’s life as a young, healthy dad, husband, long-time athlete, yogi and successful business owner, Marc unexpectedly faced a random, Traumatic Brain Injury where he survived a massive, hemorrhagic stroke and life-saving brain surgery without a single prior warning sign nor symptom that left him with non-apparent, permanent disabilities

Despite this, Marc was miraculously released from the Neuro ICU five days post brain surgery with over 100 staples, mesh and titanium rods holding his head together, while he and his young family’s lives were completely blown apart and each family member was in concurrent crisis. During this critical time, they received zero rehabilitation, resources, guidance, nor support of any kind

This unexpected medical trauma forced Marc to close his treasured and growing business and instantly brought forth unexpected, holistic life challenges for he and his family

What Marc quickly learned is, just because your head blows up and you lose your career, ability to earn a living, take care of yourself, your family stability and everything as it was prior, life doesn’t slow down or cut you a break

Instead, Marc’s child then faced severe illnesses, bullying, medical and education navigation

The intensity & overwhelm of these concurrent traumas severed the final threads of his marriage and Marc found himself also navigating divorce, child custody, single and co-parenting a child with illnesses and without any co-parenting experience, skill, nor support

Throw on top, navigating multi-year under – unemployment, financial struggles, repeated medically harmful and disability related challenges in the workplace, while just trying to survive, heal, recover, take care of and keep his family whole

As Marc navigated forward, life’s natural transitions and stages brought forth parental aging, illness, and in the case of Marc’s Dad, navigating Dementia, cognitive decline and the eventual loss of his beloved Dad AND all as a recovering head trauma and brain surgery Survivor struggling to learn how to navigate forward with non-apparent, permanent disabilities and every major life pillar in concurrent trauma

For the next 10+ years, Marc was left to desperately fumble via trial and error, using his traumatized body, brain, heart and soul as his guide to determine what potential resources and support might help him improve his ability to heal, recover & have the possibility to thrive again, as he had in his life & career prior
